ThisisthemainentrancetotheSummerPalace-theEastGateOntopoftheeavesofthedoorthereisaplaquebearingaChineseinscriptionwhichmeans"GardenofNurturedHarmony",whosecalligrapherwasEmperuangxu.Thegatethatyouarenowenteringwasusedexclusivelybytheemperor,theempressandthequeenmother.Allothersusedthesidedoors.
